Help bring a community clinic to life in a remote village in Manipur, India Amidst rocky terrain and dirt roads in an area that has a long history of conflict and tribal clashes, lies the village of Ijeirong in Manipur, and within the village is the Friendship Hostel, a school that provides quality education and life skills for over 400 local students. However, access to quality primary healthcare facilities continues to remain limited at best, and difficult geographies compound this problem. In a gesture of good faith and as testimony to the immense need for quality healthcare that exists, the village has generously donated a plot of land for construction of a community clinic in the region, and it is our responsibility and duty to ensure that their trust is not misplaced. While construction has already started, there is still a lot that needs to be done. The estimated cost of construction and equipping the center is about $22,000. Any and every contribution, big or small, will go a long way in helping us achieve this goal. We envision the clinic to be a community hub for healthcare, health education and healing through micro-volunteering, community engagement and comprehensive healthcare delivery.
