Our Mission

The Giving Exchange provides business training and seed capital that equip local leaders to create self-sustainable micro-enterprises for the benefit of their community.

We dream of a world where children have every opportunity to build their best future;  where all needs for education, health, and livelihood are met by locally-grown resources; and where communities are implementing the solutions they need to make life better for themselves and for generations to come.

How we are making it happen

Individuals apply to The Giving Exchange for business training, following which they access seed capital to launch a micro-business they have engineered to address an issue they are confronting in their community.

For example, in 2025, The Giving Exchange invested $340,000 in 35 unique projects – from Dairy Farming, to Black Soldier Fly Larvae Animal Feed Production, to Vocational Training for Teenage Mothers in Crisis.

Each of these projects helps the community become self-sufficient and create generational change in the fight for social and economic justice.

The Giving Exchange provides support every step of the way, from training, planning, and budgeting, to implementation, metrics and evaluation, resulting in successful businesses and lasting impact.
