A string, tied by hand
Chemi Chemi is a TGE-supported project that works with women who have survived gender-based violence, training them in tailoring and business skills alongside trauma-informed therapy.
When TGE visited in August 2026, each woman was introduced to the red thread of fate: the idea that our lives are bound to people we may never meet. Each one thought of a wish or a blessing, and tied it into a single shared string.
A thread of your own
Instead of tying a knot into the women's string, you're holding a thread of your own. It's a small, physical reminder of a connection that doesn't need distance, or a shared language, or ever meeting in person to be real.
